Broken yet whole

Hi! If you are reading this, you most likely have supported me in the past on either of my two trips with World Race. Unfortunately World Race recently switched blogging platforms, so this is essentially my new blog. This blog post comes with good news of more World Race adventures, as I am returning to the organization once again! The umbrella organization that World Race exists under is called Adventures in Missions, and Adventures in Missions puts on a state-side discipleship/leadership school called CGA (Center for Global Action). This school is my next adventure, from January to May of 2023 :)

The decision to pause my University education and attend this discipleship school was not easy to make. There were many factors that pulled me away from CCU and back to Gainesville. The short summary is this:

Being a Christian and living for God is the most important thing about me and the reason I live my days. The Bible calls anyone who gives her/her life to God to live in complete surrender and obedience. Oddly enough, I have found this hard to do in my Christian bubble. In humility I admit that I've had a hard time "walking the talk" here and living a life that isn't focused on myself. I sat with the Lord and decided that the best course of action was to enter a "season of refreshment" away from the bubble and remember why Jesus is worth giving up everything for.

So you're probably wondering, "what exactly is this discipleship school?" CGA is a semester-long program hosted at the Adventures in Missions base in Gainesville, Georgia (a place I have visited for trainings many times over the years). CGA "exists to mobilize a generation to be passionate followers of Jesus who live out their faith whether at home, professionally, or church planting overseas." Their three-step curriculum is "know yourself, lead yourself, lead others." We will walk through each of these topics through lecture, discussion, reading books, and more. CGA apprentices are also encouraged to get part-time jobs as an opportunity to both minister to the local community and live out what we learn in the classroom. So basically– I am dedicating a season to my growth as a Christian leader and follower of Christ.

As with my other trips with Adventures in Missions, I invite you to join me in supporting what God is doing (this time, my growth and development). Firstly, I would greatly appreciate prayer over this upcoming semester and everything I'm going to learn! Second, I am fundraising $5,950 to attend this school and ask you to consider making a financial contribution. Donations can be made on the new platform (NOT my old blog), which I will link below. Thank you for reading, caring about what God is doing in my life, praying, and considering financial support. It means a lot!

God bless,

Coryn Zurcher
