First off, I cannot believe I am making a post about why I’ve decided to go on the World Race. This has been a dream of mine since my freshman year of high school. I’ve always seen myself taking this journey, but I’m blown away that the time has finally come. I’ve had a passion for missions since the fourth grade when my mom and I went with our church to serve at an orphanage in Guatemala. Since then, I’ve taken seven other trips to serve and share the gospel in Central American countries; over time, I felt my heart growing deeper toward pursuing a life in missions.
I’m graduating in May, still unsure about my future, but the one thing that has been a constant for me is the hope that I will one day go on the World Race. The time has finally come, and I could not be more grateful. I want to begin my postgrad life stepping outside of my comforts and allowing God to use and mold me into who He has called me to be. While I know this trip will be one of the most challenging experiences of my life, I am so sure the Lord will do amazing things. My favorite verse Proverbs 31:25, says, “She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” This verse has always pushed me to remember God’s grace and provision, and I think it could not be more applicable to this changing season in my life.
I am excited to keep everyone up to date on what God is doing in my life on this blog. I hope to share just how faithful He has been and will continue to be throughout my time on the race. He is SO good! I could not be more thrilled to meet and serve His children in the many countries I will be going to.
