2022. A year full of laughs, tears, surrender, growth, trust, sweet friendships, sadness, joy, thankfulness, walking in humility & boldness, vulnerability, patience, new opportunities, goodbyes & hellos, serving others, family, blessings, sunshine, & so much more. This year was full of ups & downs, but I can confidently say that the Lord has been faithful through it all! The Lord has blessed me with a sweet world race community and a sweet community at home that not only love & care about me, but also push me towards Christ & I can’t thank Him enough!! I am looking forward to the sweet reunion with my community at home, but at the same time not looking forward to the hard goodbyes at the end of the race & to the sweet community I have had the privilege getting to know & live with for 9 months!!
Some lessons & things learned in 2022:
- Trust the Lord & surrender it all to Him
- He is worthy of it all: for from Him are all things & to Him are all things, He alone deserves the glory
- Be gracious to those around you because you never know what they’re going through
- Surrender & vulnerability hurts & is tough at times, but is needed for growth
- Start each day with gratitude & thankfulness
- People will fail you & you will fail people, but the Lord never fails
- Keep seeking & chasing after the amazing plans the Lord has for your life because He’ll lead you every step.
- don’t be afraid to put yourself out there & take risks
- you can’t just sacrifice part of yourself to the Lord: it’s either all or nothing
- feedback can actually be a good thing
- sunshine can literally brighten up your day ☀️
- distance & time away from those you love makes you realize how much you actually love & miss them
- Take each day one at a time
- The Lord is faithful through it all 🌿🤍
