I can’t believe that I have only been in Gainesville, Georgia for four whole days. It has simultaneously felt like a lifetime and no time at all. However, it has still been evident that God is moving in the lives of everyone on our squad.
My journey began when I left my house at 3 am Saturday morning and boarded a flight to Atlanta Georgia. It was overwhelming and seemed unreal to finally arrive on campus knowing that these people would be my family for the next nine months. Every day is filled with incredible teachings about honor, respect, shame, guilt, intention, unity, humility, and many more important topics that will help guide us towards a Christ-centered life. Especially, as we live the next two months in Georgia and seven months overseas. I can’t wait to share more about how the Lord is working in my life and the lives of those around me but first I would like to introduce you to my team. First, let me explain that teams are smaller groups of our squad which help create a more intimate setting. We also have a team leader who will be with us for the next three months to help cultivate an environment that will help us succeed for the rest of our race.
Our team name is Aurora which means new dawn and the hope that comes with every new sun. The team is made up of five incredible young women who are seeking to know and love God more every new dawn and I am blessed to get to call them family.
I want to thank everyone who is making this trip possible with their support and constant prayer. This would not be possible without you and I can’t wait to keep you updated about how the Lord works in my life!
