The World Race is an 11-month mission trip. Its mission is to awaken and activate people worldwide to their identity and role in the Kingdom of God.
How did I make the decision to live out of a backpack for a year? It truly has all come full circle. In 2016, a group of my peers and some amazing adults went to Guatemala for a week with an organization called Adventures in Missions (AIM). Although I was raised as a Christian, this trip transformed my relationship with Jesus and I committed my life to Him. One evening at dinner, one of our ministry partners was sharing about another opportunity that AIM has- the World Race! Since that day, you could probably catch me frequently visiting the website, reading blogs of racers, and telling everyone I would one day take the leap. God has continually presented the World Race to me for six years and I am incredibly grateful to have a God who worked through SO much during my college experience in order to prepare me for this.
So- today is the day I get to say yes to Jesus!
The route I will be on leaves in August 2022 and returns in July 2023. My squad and I will be spending time in Guatemala (funny, right?), Romania, Albania, Kosovo, Jordan, and Thailand. The focus of our ministry will be dependent on the needs of each community but can include special needs ministry, anti-trafficking ministry, discipleship, church planting, children’s ministry, unreached people groups, and simply being open to the needs of the people we are with. I’m expectant to see miracles, to see healing, to see a worldly God who is a God of all people.
Something that’s been revealed to me most recently is that God truly knows more than we could ever imagine- he knows what we desire, what we need, what we need to let go. He is all-knowing. He is the creator of all things. There is no limit to his knowledge or creativity.
Psalm 139:4 says: Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.
While on this journey, there are a couple ways you are able to partner with me.
First- prayer! I’d love for you to pray for my squad, for preparation, for safety, and for strong relationships to be built.
Second- financial support! I truly am ecstatic for this opportunity to meet with you- to share my story, my intention, my heart. If you are led and willing to support me in this way, there is a donation button on this page- I'd love to get coffee with you, zoom w/you, etc.!
My passion of becoming a speech language pathologist is still a desire of mine! With that said, I was accepted into the Fall 2022 UW-Eau Claire CSD graduate program. I will be deferring for a year and will begin the program in the Fall of 2023 !! Praise God!
Thanks for reading my first blog post, feel free to subscribe so I can connect with you while on this journey. Love ya’ll!
