We set off last Sunday from the Atlanta airport hotel for training camp in Gainesville Georgia.  My squad and I set up our tents and have been starting to bond this week.  My week has been full of focusing on Jesus. I have been getting up at 6 to exercise and after that it is praying, worshiping, preaching, and small group until dinner. Everybody is full of joy and excitement at the moment.

The focus this week has been on Knowing God on a deeper level. We have studied Gods faithfulness this week and pursuing God for a better understanding of Him. We are learning on building a intimate relationship with God because the deeper our relationship with God, the more you know about Him and who You are in Christ. One quote that has stuck out to me in conversation this week is that “God has no limits”. The point is that we need to trust God with everything in our life because when we do that we become closer to Him.  I want you to ask yourself what can you trust God with and let go of?  Learning in more depth about the power of the Holy Spirit this week has been crazy.  I have learned the more you know God the more you can listen to the Holy Spirit.  When we give God everything in our life and not just a piece we can experience who God really is.  I have learned that when you give your whole self to God you will discover Him on a deeper level and discover things you never thought about.  The Holy Spirit is what you receive after becoming a Christian which is the power of God coming into you body.  How crazy does that sound?  God gives you His power so He can be glorified.  Personally my relationship has grown with God this week by Him showing me that sometimes I put limits on Him.  I am getting to know more about God and know Him on a deeper level by being here.

This week I have had to make a few sacrifices by not having my phone everyday, have taken two bucket showers all week, and I have hand washed my clothes.  I have learned not to take simple things in life for granted.  When I got the opportunity to take a shower and wash my clothes I had so much joy and realized how I don’t even think about how big that actually is.  This week I have seen life through a different lens, but still have so much joy by knowing who my Father is and who I am serving and living for.

Week one has been quiet an experience and I can’t wait for what is to come.  God is working in my teams life and mine also.
