“It’s a funny thing coming home. Nothing changes. Everything looks the same, feels the same, even smells the same. You realize what’s changed is you.”
-Eric Roth
12 days. That truly seems like such a short amount of time in the grand scheme of things, but it was by far more than enough time to wreck my heart, realize purpose, and radically change my life. I headed to Training Camp on August 7th not knowing that the girl who would leave 12 days later would be a completely new person. I rolled up on day one with baggage (and I’m not just talking about all of my gear) that I believed I had worked through, and some baggage that I just accepted would be part of my story for the rest of my life. August 7th Meagan was nervous, feeling rather “less-than” and unequipped, and still being taunted and ridiculed by the lies of the enemy that played on repeat in her mind.
August 18th Meagan is FREE, fiercely known and loved, strong, passionate, bold, and has vision. She is embracing the stillness and the beautifully, sweet quiet that her Papa has gifted to her. She is no longer fearful of the future, but rather smiles and laughs as she hears her Papa say, “MY girl, I have such big plans for you!”
I’m still processing everything that God did at Training Camp, so please be on the lookout for more stories to come! I feel so blessed that Papa has given me a voice and a story that I know He believes is worth sharing. My story matters, my story has power, and I know that God is going to use it to impact the Kingdom in ways that I never could have imagined. When we let go and let God He promises that He can and WILL do more than we could ever hope or imagine, and I have seen, and know I will continue to see the fruitfulness of this promise. For now, I will continue to dwell in the peaceful presence of my God, allow Him to reveal big, bold, beautiful details of all that took place over the past 12 days, and eagerly and expectantly wait for Him to give me the words that He wants me to share with all of you.
Thank you for your love, your support, your prayers, and your faithfulness my friends!
All my love,
Meagan Thompson
