Hey there guys, I have a real treat for you with today’s blog!! The following post is brought to you by my dad!!! He wrote a blog giving a little perspective into how he and my mom are feeling as they prepare to head to meet me on the mission field TOMORROW!!! Please pray for safe flights from Atlanta to Miami, Miami to London, and London to BUCHAREST, ROMANIA!! You’d be false if you thought I wasn’t the MOST excited to see them on Tuesday and hug their necks. Well I’ve given all the intro I needed so I’ll hand the baton over to my dear old dad. without further ado I give you, Greg Thompson:

“This past Sunday, me, Sarah, and Madison took Cindy out to eat for Mother's Day. While we were waiting on our food, I told them about this sweet, older lady who had visited our church that morning. As the lady and I talked before the service began, we exchanged pleasantries and she asked about my family. I told her that I was married and had three daughters. I shared with her how one of our daughter's had been on a mission trip called the World Race since October and was currently in Romania and that we would be leaving in a week to join her there. The lady looked at me somewhat concerned and said " you know you are going to have to fly over water to get there."

So, what is it that you are afraid of? I remember when I was in school, how nervous I would get anytime I had to do anything in front of the class. They say you should just imagine everyone is naked while you are speaking to them but that didn't work for me. I am sharing all these not so funny stories to ask you, what is it that you have allowed to rob you of doing the things in life you always wanted to do? More importantly, what fear has robbed you from receiving God's very best that He intended for you to have? We are all afraid of something, just don't let your fear be bigger than your faith.

Meagan asked Cindy and I what our expectations were for this trip and it's simply this, to love on our daughter who we have missed so much, to listen to the other World Racers tell of the amazing things that God is doing in their lives, and to be Jesus to anyone that we can. We may have to cross an ocean to get there but that's okay, See you soon Meagan, we can't wait!”

*PVT, or Parent Vision Trip, is an intentional time of ministry in which my parents have the opportunity to join me on the field to participate in various missions opportunities. I will be sure to keep you all updated on what my PVT and my time with my parents looks like in the upcoming week! To all of you who helped in any way to make this trip a possibility for both my parents and I, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea how much it means to me, and I truly can’t express how very excited I am to be reunited with my mom and dad. Thank you for blessing my parents and I!! Sending all of my love direct from Romania to wherever this blog may find you!!
